 Through this chapter, I will guide you on how to select the right direct-selling company. Every network marketer claims that their company is the best. But how will you choose the right company from all the options?

Experts worldwide have listed specific criteria based on which you can choose the right company for yourself.



1. Company Profile:-

The first important criterion is the company profile. What are the principles behind the people running the company? What are their goals? What are their ethics and characters like? Does the company's culture and mission create a sense of pride among its members? How strong is the company's background? Suppose the company's name is already well-known. In that case, you can establish your business with even an unknown person.

If your company has a strong profile, you are undoubtedly fortunate because if you have to hang, you should hang from a solid and big branch. After all, a weak branch may only be able to support the weight of your network for a short time. We often lean our ladder against a wall with a fragile foundation, and as we climb to the top, the wall collapses.

Time is precious. Make sure you spend it with the right person.

 

It is crucial to check the company's track record. Is the company strong enough to handle all the industry's ups and downs and changes? Does the management of the company understand network marketing? If the company has its own research and development team and manufacturing plants, it makes competition easier for you.

The company's vision and mission are essential. Many times, a company may only be able to achieve a little despite earning money. However, money becomes a byproduct when a company has a big task and good intentions.


Company's  Product & Industry:-

  • Another essential criterion is the company's product. Your customers need to trust your product. Does your product satisfy your customers and solve their problems? Suppose you buy the company's products only for business opportunities and don't need them. In that case, you are in the wrong company. The product should be so valuable and practical that people agree to buy it without any commercial opportunity.

  • Consistent sales of products are the key to generating passive income in direct selling. Remember that if your product only sells once, your earnings will also be one-time. Some companies have expensive products, so it is essential to check the uniqueness of the products. If they are ordinary products, they should be available at affordable and fair prices.

  • It is crucial for a company's products to be unique. Some companies have many people join and then leave. Still, companies whose products are good continue to be successful for a long time. Some companies sell their products by creating hype but only sell for a limited time.

  • Some companies focus only on cheap products. But often, companies overlook the formulation, uniqueness, safety, purity, and better results behind cheap products.

  • There are two types of direct-selling companies in India. One is engaged in network marketing to sell superior products. At the same time, the other is interested only in using the product's name to create a network marketing company. Which one would you choose?


  • The company offers a money-back guarantee and adheres to the government's product return policy.


The direct-selling business achieves the highest success in the global wellness, health, and personal care product categories, closely followed by the home care product category. Being in the appropriate industry at the opportune moment holds significance for achieving success. It is equally crucial to assess whether the company operates within the correct industry.

2. Marketing Plan


The third important criterion is the company's marketing plan. Most people involved in network marketing work part-time, investing their time in the business that should have been given to their families. Therefore, the company's marketing plan must be reasonable and rewarding.


  • There are two types of direct-selling companies in India: some have good products and are very stable. In contrast, others have lovely marketing plans but lack stability. You must search for a company with good products, stability, and an attractive marketing plan.

  • Be sure to check how much distribution is happening in the plan. Is there a possibility for you to earn unlimited income in the company? If the payout on net sales is 45-50% in the company's plan, then nothing can be better than this. When evaluating any opportunity, check how much payout the company offers on net sales. The marketing plan should be powerful. The plan should be transparent. The plan should be such that even an ordinary person can succeed.

  • Your plan should make it easy to calculate earnings. You should be mindful that the company is not withholding your hard-earned money in the name of extra charges. You should know how much time is left for you to receive the earnings you are making.

  • Many companies have weak marketing plans and reserve a significant part of the plan for buying the leader. I believe that the plan should provide equal opportunities for everyone.

  • Make sure to check whether the company promotes bulk-buying schemes or not.


3. Company's training and education system: -

  • The fourth important criterion is a company's training and education system of a company. Companies focusing on their education system develop a strong culture, and their employees tend to stay with them. People continue to progress in such companies.

  • Does a company's training system make homemakers, students, or people from different professions successful entrepreneurs?

  • Is the company's motive just to sell the product or develop your leadership skills?

  • In today's era, do companies have a digital education system? What is a company's offline training model?

  • Does the company organise National and international meetings and seminars from time to time?


4. People & Leadership:-

The fifth important criterion is people. How are people associated with the company? What is the company's leadership like? What is the track record of people in your line of sponsorship? If they change companies frequently, work for more than one company at the same time, or are involved in short-term company Ponzi schemes, these are not just initial difficulties for you but the beginning of difficulties.


  • It is essential to have people in your Line of Sponsorship (L.O.S.) who are focused on making you a leader and strengthening you.

It is quite challenging for every company to open its outlets everywhere, so having a strong delivery system and customer care system is essential for the company to expand its business throughout India. The business can rapidly expand if it can deliver to its associates and customers.
